Many of you know our servers were recently crippled through a continued DDOS assault. We have since been able to stop the attack, and have resumed mostly normal operations. Our much vaunted new web hosting company ChicagoVPS was indeed less restrictive then our current web host (Allowing us to re implement our /rankme command) but it turns out they are not as resilient to attack. And further they refused to help us stop the attacker in /any/ way other then to cut off access to our site. For these reasons we have returned to our original web host, and thus lost /rankme again (For the time being).
In order to prevent this sort of thing ever happening again we have elected to purchase DDOS protected hosting through a company known as SoftLayer. This type and quality of hosting is significantly more expensive then our current dedicated machine host. However with the perk of being DDOS protected we can relatively safely condense our web server on to the same physical machine as our game server. In addition to making for a more tightly integrated experience between the website and the gameserver, this will allow us to re-implement /rankme
With that in mind we have begun fund raising campaigns designed to allow us to pay for a few months of this higher quality hosting in advance. In this way we hope to not purchase the more expensive host and then find we cant afford it.

For the record: The hacker offered us an easy way out. Just unban him and let him get away with whatever vandalism he wanted. As you might imagine we told him something along the lines of ‘Consume feces and expire.’
I am now confused.
The server JUST crashed (6/7/12 10:25AM EST -5) I’m confused on if it was a DDoS or it was just restarting the server or something.

It’s bugged so we removed it for the time being.
If we had it. You would register on the main site (Which you are currently) then type /rankme in, in game chat.
But I saw that you are the first rank (The rank you get with /rankme) if you were wondering how to get to the next rank which is Baron, don’t worry be patient it will come with time. Just be helpful, active, nice, and mature.
